People Power Santa Cruz announces Sustainable Transportation awards

People Power, the human powered transportation advocacy group for Santa Cruz, California, will recognize two community members for their work advancing sustainable transportation projects in the past year. The recipients of these Sustainable Transportation awards will be announced during People Power’s annual Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction on Sunday, October 6 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.

The festivities will be held at the 418 Project in Santa Cruz, where Chef Jozseph of India Joze will prepare a locally sourced dinner with meat, vegan, and vegetarian options and a do-it-yourself ice cream sundae bar. Tickets are $50–150, sliding scale, and as always, the dinner is free for family members under 10.

One award will go to a local government or community program staff member, and the other will recognize a community member who has shown exceptional commitment and dedication.
