A Sikh Cycle Protest

Sikhs participate in a cycle rally protesting the 1984 anti-Sikh riots at Tilak Nagar area in New Delhi, India.

The 1984 anti-Sikh riots were a series of attacks against Sikhs in India after the assassination of Indira Gandhi by two of her Sikh bodyguards. About 2100 Sikhs lost their lives in the Delhi area during these riots. Sikh activists maintain that politically connected people who allegedly incited the riots have yet to face prosecution for their crimes.
