YOU can help Cowgirl Bike Courier help San Jose Bike Train

Join us for a group Christmas photo 8 AM Wednesday, December 16 2015 at Bel Bacio Caffè in San Jose CA. Even if you don’t plan to ride with us we’d love if you can join us for the photo and coffee.

Our friends at Cowgirl Bike Courier are posting a series of 12 Days of Christmas themed photos to their social media, featuring clients, partners and friends.

For the 12th Day of Christmas, Cowgirl would like a photo of 12 people and their 12 bikes, and figures San Jose Bike Train might be the opportunity to try just this!

We’re meeting tomorrow morning, 8:05 AM on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Bel Bacio Caffè in Little Italy near downtown San Jose, CA. Even if you don’t plan to ride with us we’d love if you can join our group photo. Bring your friends, and maybe even an ugly holiday sweater and ornaments.

Bel Bacio is located directly off of the Guadalupe River Trail between Julian and St John Streets — look for the sandwich board sign on the east side of the trail at the Piazza Piccola Italia entry. Don’t worry about the no trespassing sign — this is private property but coffee shop customers are welcome. An Italian daycare is also located here so please watch for small children and ride slowly or walk your bike.

What is San Jose Bike Train? Bike Train is a twice-monthly soicial ride during the morning commute from near downtown San Jose to destinations north along the Guadalupe River Trail. We begin after 8 AM from Diridon Station, with an alternate (and popular) pickup point at Bel Bacio Caffè. Subscribe to this low noise Google Group for the twice monthly ride announcements. We ride the first and third Wednesday of every month.

What is Bel Bacio Caffè? Bel Bacio is the only Italian-style coffee shop with a direct trail entrance in San Jose. It’s located in Little Italy behind the Guadalupe River Trail three doors down from Henry’s Hi Life between Julian Street and St John Street.

Where can I park? Bike Train is designed to connect with public transportation, but free, all day street parking for your car is also available near the ride start on Autumn Street just south of Coleman. If you park here, it’s especially important for you to let us know to look for you. Note this goes away when construction to extend Autumn begins in January. Find more details on the San Jose Bike Train parking information page.
