AEG, Amgen and the US Anti Doping Agency (USADA) announced what they claim is “the most comprehensive anti-doping program in the history of the Amgen Tour of California.”
But first, there’s this news about Filippo Simeoni’s response to an interview Floyd Landis did with Paul Kimmage.
In a quick video interview, former 7-11 pro cyclist and longtime sports commentator Bob Roll claims “bike racing is by far the cleanest professional sport in the world.” On the testing regimen and the heavy, instantaneous penalties handed down when doping is found, “Every other professional sport in the world is a joke in comparison.”
In other news, Tom Boonen has been implicated in the growing “motodoping” scandal.
Floyd Landis talks with Larry King on CNN, responding to allegations by Agence Française de Lutte contre le Dopage (AFLD – the French anti doping agency) that he hacked into doping lab computers. (more…)
I thought I’d see how many NFL doping stories there were over the past week versus how many doping stories related to the 2010 Winter Olympics were posted to the news.

If you’re curious about cycling: 284 hits from this past week for “armstrong doping” and 529 hits for “cycling doping. Even tour de france doping has 536 hits, and that event is five months away.
Some people accuse editors, journalists and bloggers of soft pedaling the doping issue in professional cycling, but in American football nobody is even asking the question.
