There are a number of openings for sales help and mechanics at bike shops all around the nation, but professional career type openings seem a little thin in this week’s edition of bicycle jobs and careers. There are a few minimum wage type jobs for those looking for entry level or extra cash.
Even restaurants want your Panda Portraits now: Dallas beer garden asks for a photo of yourself or your bicycle in your application for a waitressing job.

Spring is here and I see dozens of bike shop job openings for sales help and mechanics on Craigslist all around the nation. I don’t normally post these kinds of jobs since they’re very local and you’re not likely to relocate for something like that, but I’ll make an exception for this one since my pal Matt works at that Performance store in Raleigh. To apply, visit the shop and tell Matt that Cyclelicious sent you. If you make me look bad I’ll kick you in the Assos chamois cream.

Attention all pervy bike riders with your telephoto camera lenses: Get paid to stalk! Covert surveillance using your bicycle in Denver, CO.
Looking for an individual who is experienced at covert surveillance. Able to follow target and anticipate next move. Most of the surveillance will be done from your vehicle, bicycle or walking. Must be able to disguise by chaining into different colored shirts and hairstyles. Must be able to efficiently run Iphone, computer, Binoculars and video camera. Need to be able to log information as it happens in real time.

I see a couple of IT careers and a number of bike advocacy openings throughout the United States in this weeks bicycle job postings.
There seem to be many more sales and mechanic “help wanted” postings than usual as bike shops ramp up for the Spring. I don’t normally post these kinds of Local Bike Shop openings, but I made an exception today for a couple of bike shops that I’ve visited (Acme in Longmont and Family Cycling Center in Capitola).
Right now, I mostly look for bike jobs along the U.S. coasts and several of the larger cities in between. If you’d like me to add a location you haven’t seen in my weekly job postings, please leave a comment asking for that area.
