Special for Andrew in West Virginia: Performance Bicycles is hiring contact center associates in Sophia, WV, which is about 80 miles south of Charleston.

300 miles east of Sophia, Performance Bike is holding a job fair in Springfield VA for their bikes shops in Northern VA and Gaithersburg MD.

I currently search for bicycle jobs in 40 different cities / regions in California, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, New York, Georgia, Colorado, West Virginia, Virginia, South Dakota and Utah. Is there another part of the United States you’d like me to cover? Please leave a comment.

When I first set up my job search bot months and months ago I limited my search mostly to large cities I’m familiar with, fully intending to add other cities as I had time.

Naturally, I forgot all about that, so you tend to see bike related job openings in San Francisco, but nothing in New York City. Andrew in West Virginia nudged me last week to expand my search, so beginning with this issue of Bike Jobs you should see a little more geographic diversity.

WANTED: Zombie bicycle tattoo artist

Here’s an interesting bit of freelance work for a talented comic illustrator:

I want a sleeve tattoo that incorporates bicycles, zombies, and comics. Unfortunately I can’t draw out my story the way I envision it. I want it to start off with an over weight redneck running down cyclist in his old red pickup truck. The cyclists he hits along the way become undead and begin chasing after him on their bikes. Pretty soon he has a hoard of undead after him untill his trucks dies due to lack of fuel. The zombies eventually catch up to him and eat him alive.
