Where do you bike in East San Jose? Where do you want to bike in East San Jose? San Jose Department of Transportation will host a a public workshop to discuss ways to improve the bike network on the East Side of San Jose. This community meeting takes place Tuesday, February 2nd, 6:30 pm at the Mayfair Community Center, 2039 Kammerer Ave, San Jose. The DOT is seeking public input on where community members would like to see more bikeways installed. The project area covers the area bounded by Berryessa Road, Yerba Buena Road, Coyote Creek, and the East Foothills.

Guadalupe River Upper Reach Master Plan

The third and final meeting to discuss the Guadalupe River Upper Reach Master Plan takes place TONIGHT (Wednesday January 20 2016) from from 6 to 8 pm at the Gardner Community Center, 520 West Virginia Street, San Jose. Join city parks staff to discuss trail alignment along the Guadalupe River from downtown through Willow Glen, to south San Jose. For design documents, click here. Bike light giveaways in San Jose CA

Two December bike light giveaways in San Jose: December 14, and December 18. Details below.

The city of San Jose, CA Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee will have their annual free light and helmet giveaway this Monday, December 14th, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm, in front of the King Library in downtown San Jose. Their goal is to reach those most in need of these items, who otherwise would not be able to afford these themselves. Please pass word along to those you know who don’t have lights. If you don’t need the helmet or light, don’t snag an extra for yourself just because it’s free. Leave it for somebody else who might not be able to afford an inexpensive light. Okay?
