The Sacramento Grand Prix took place around the Capitol building in Sacramento as a prelude to today’s Amgen Tour of California Stage 1 finish.
The winner of the one hour women’s criterium, Coryn Rivera for Team Peanut Butter and Company, is a 17 year old national champion with gold medals in Road, Track and Cyclocross. Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who himself was an athletic competitor, congratulates Coryn on her win.

The women’s criterium was followed by a community bike ride on the close course sponsored by Sutter Health.
