The San Jose Bike Party Ride tonight will raise money for the daughter of Joshua West.

Joshua West was riding his bicycle on Lark Avenue in Los Gatos, CA when Kevin Derr drove his Chevy Blazer over the curb and ran over West, killing him. West left a seven year old daughter behind, and San Jose Bike Party organizers will have donation cans out to benefit Briana West.

Tonight’s ride begins 8 PM at 421 Almaden in San Jose. That’s the parking lot behind the San Jose Convention Center the parking lot on Woz Way underneath the I-280/US 87 interchange across the Children’s Museum (where the light rail tracks go every which way from San Carlos Street).

    Please note there has been a slight change to the start location as there is a musical going on at the Center for the Performing Arts. The new start is located nearby at the parking lot on Woz Way under the 280/87 freeway ramp across from the Children's Discovery Museum (where the ride started in Aug 2009). The route map has been updated to reflect this change.
