Does anybody remember that guy who introduced a cardboard bicycle helmet at the London Cycle Show last year?
I was at the NuVinci booth looking at Urbana’s latest bicycle when I noticed out of the corner of my eye a south Asian dude with a cardboard helmet perched on his rolling luggage. I turned and said, “You’re the guy from London with that cardboard helmet!”
Anirudha Surabhi is shopping his idea around to various helmet manufacturers. He says the helmet has been tested and exceeds European safety standards by quite a bit. A suggested use is mass production for vending at bike share kiosks, like they have in his hometown.
