Flipphandle

This Flipp Handle is a stem dodad that quickly unlocks your handle bicycle handlebar so you can rotate it for for easier storage. This might come in handy on Caltrain. On folding bikes, the usual solution is to fold the handlebars down, but this looks presents an interesting alternative.

From what I can tell, the inventors are apparently seeking funding to make this a real product.

Updates?

Besides slavishly following the the 2011 Tour de France, I’ve been completely out of the loop over the holiday weekend.

What else is going on in the world of cycling these days? What’s happening in your world with bike races, bike facilities, bike legislation, bike controversies, bike products, or bike related pop culture? How much riding time have your sacrificed since Saturday morning?

Independence Day rides

It is understood that there are viewers of this blog from around the globe, but thought I’d take time to ask what your plans are for the long weekend here in the States?

Going to be in the 90’s (F) here, hoping to do some grilling, definitely some riding, digging up a yard for xeriscaping and brewing a couple gallons of sun tea. I don’t know about you guys, but I prefer heat to cold when riding as it was a brutal winter – just five months ago the temperature was over 100ยบ F colder.

Anyone watching the Tour de France?
