San Jose Bike Train rolls Wednesday morning

The San Jose Bike Train rolls again Wednesday morning, March 18, 2014 from Diridon Station at 8 AM.

The bike train is an inclusive group ride for commuters. This train serves destinations along the Guadalupe River Trail and departs the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. We ride at a 10 to 12 MPH pace and we don’t judge your apparel, your bike or your body shape.

This video shows the beginning of the inaugural bike train ride in February. After this video ends, we cross the street to the SAP Center and hop on the trail for a ride completely free of motor vehicle traffic. It’s quite enjoyable.

First a bit of trivial trivia: I briefly majored in Political Science in college, and I’m still fascinated with the drama of politics.

The current San Jose District 1 Supervisor, Pete Constant, terms out after this year. Of the several people running to replace him in this mostly suburban district, one has distinguished herself with an understanding of transportation issues affecting her district and the city of San Jose.
