This wednesday, May 9 2012 is National Bike To School Day in the United States. This event sponsored by the National Center for Safe Routes to School with the League of American Bicyclists encourages active transportation for school children.
A nice promotional video for Bike To Work Day 2012 produced by the (San Francisco) Bay Area Bicycle Coalition shows how we roll around here.
“It doesn’t matter what you wear. It doesn’t matter what you look like.”
While me and hundreds of other bike racing fans have been speeding all around California following the Amgen Tour of California, a good many of you have been celebrating Bike Month this week by biking to work on this Bike To Work Day.
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center (PBIC) has recently launched a Bike to Work Website as a resource for bike commuters, event organizers, the media, employers, and others.
Max @ PBIC wanted me to especially highlight the Bike To Work Forum.
