Our bike advocate in East Palo Alto (EPA), Andrew Boone, reports the city of East Palo Alto will discuss their Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) during a budget study session tonight at the EPA Government Center at 2415 University Avenue. The city will review, among other things, how to spend the $1.5 million the city received from Facebook as part of the social media company’s transportation impact settlement.

As Facebook continues moving their people to their new Menlo Park campus (and the location of my former office), people in Menlo Park and East Palo Alto express concerns about the traffic generated through their towns.

I watched traffic backing up in front of my office along Bayfront Expressway in Menlo Park Tuesday afternoon, and it wasn’t long before I learned police closed the Dumbarton Bridge when a man threatened to jump.
