Bay Area Showroom for Renovo Bikes

Renovo Hardwood Bicycles now has a showroom in the Bay Area at 1201 Bridgeway, Suite D, Sausalito, California. Visit Renovo Bicycles for their Grand Opening this weekend July 2 through the 4th. Grand opening hours are Saturday: 10-9, Sunday: 10-6, Monday: 10-3.

After the grand opening, Renovo Design regular hours are Thursday: 12-6, Friday-Sunday: 10-6.

Sausalito sits at the North end of the Golden Gate Bridge and has plenty of road and off-road trails for demo rides.

In a unique, but obvious collaboration, the showroom will also feature select pieces of handcrafted furniture made by another Portland company, the Joinery.

Tonight’s #bikeschool chat on Twitter will be hosted by Yours Truly. Sign on at 9 PM US Eastern Time / 6 PM Pacific Time and participate in the discussion.

Group Participation time now: What is your favorite video editing software (O/S and version, if you could)? How often do you record your rides? Has having a camcorder on your person while cycling provided a benefit for your ride? If you feel it, post a link to your favorite ride videos (your rides, not others’ or TdF footage)!

This past weekend, a cyclist was struck and killed by a hit and run driver at 1:00 a.m. while coming home from work. Having commuted at night for a couple of years, it goes without saying that vigilance is paramount in this arena. As cyclists, one of the first things we think when we read these reports are: Was drinking a factor, and was the cyclist reflective and well-lit? All that is clear in this case is that drinking may have been involved. (more…)
