Keanu Reeves rode a bicycle

A teenage Keanu Reeves plays a road bike racer in this 1980 Coca Cola commercial.

Is that Belov at the finish line with him?

Via Janeen McCrae.

This ad, which features a dad coaching and encouraging his son, reminds me of this novel by Marin County psychologist Ross Goldstein. It’s the story of a pro cyclist who gets sick of the drug scandals and quits until his dad encourages him to take up the sport again. I’ve read the story and it’s a good read; I’ll post up a bigger review soon. In the meantime, you can learn more at the author’s web site.

Update: I see now that Bike Hugger posted on this nearly two weeks ago.

Jambox promo video

The Jambox wireless speaker from Jawbone seems like the perfect accessory for Bike Party. The video (a parody of “It Was a Good Day” promoting the “JamChain”) shows a bike mount, though as far as I know it’s not available from Jawbone. Maybe sometbody knows different?

Love the line, “Forgot to lock up my bike; nobody jacked it.”

$200 from Jawbone, and the JamChain comes free with it.
