Sunnyvale Vice Mayor bikes to work

Happy Bike Month and Happy Friday. Sunnyvale Vice Mayor Gustav Larsson, shown below in the yellow jacket and green Marin hardtail mountain bike, joined this morning’s inaugural “BikePool” ride from Sunnyvale to his day job as a software engineer in North San Jose. Gustav holds Seat 1 in Sunnyvale’s at-large city council, and is also the city council liaison for the Sunnyvale Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission.

Sunnyvale to North First Bikepool begins

A new bikepool (think “carpool” but with bikes) begins tomorrow morning, Friday, May 6, 2016 from Sunnyvale, CA to the North 1st area of San Jose.

This casually paced, 8 mile ride begins 7:40 A.M. at Plaza Del Sol in front of the Sunnvyale Caltrain Station, where you have a choice of several coffee shops to obtain your pre-ride caffeine.

The ride takes place almost entirely on bike-laned roads and bike paths.
